Oxford Opera Friends Scheme

“Tosca was never meant to be a glorious one-off — it was just the start of something new and exciting for the city.”

Stuart Pendred – Founder and Artistic Director.

Becoming a Friend of Oxford Opera will help us continue the Award-winning work of the company.

There is a vision, passion and drive to make Oxford Opera the best we can be for everyone. But we need to secure on-going funding to make the vision  a reality.

Your support, on every level, will allow us to:

  • Attract the best professionals, on stage and off;
  • Maintain our ability to offer ambitious projects, accessible to all;
  • Allow us to spread the word and reach audiences new to opera, irrespective of their age;
  • Support the creation and development of youth programmes and outreach into schools including the development of the Oxford Opera Youth Chorus and the commission and composition of a Children’s Opera;
  • Ensure the long-term future of Oxford Opera.

“Oxford Opera Company has demonstrated just how much can be achieved with outstanding vision, inclusivity, collaboration and good will. Long may it continue!”

SARAH AND MATTHEW Parents of Emily, winner of the inaugural Michael Pendred Oxford Opera Award for Young Artists– 2018.
