We were treated to a series of best-loved solos and duets (with one or two surprises) from Mozart, Mendelssohn, Verdi, Purcell, Puccini and many more, finishing with a whole-company rendition of “Nessun Dorma”.  The four guest soloists - exquisite lyric soprano Anna Sideris, baritone Felix Kemp, both regulars with Oxford Opera, mezzo-soprano Thalia Knights, who jumped in at a moment’s notice to cover for illness, joined by Pendred the Artistic Director, were superb, all beautifully supported  by the Oxford Opera Chamber Orchestra, led by John Warner, and the chorus of school children.  But the stand-out performer on this occasion was the newcomer Satriya Krishna, warm and engaging.
